Marjorie McCracken, M.D. Ph.D.
 
Dr. McCracken received her M.D. from Stanford University in 1985. She did her pediatric internship and residency also at Stanford, and her Pediatric Gastroenterology training at the University of California San Francisco. She is board-certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. She also has a Ph.D. in Mathematics from University of California at Berkeley.
 
Dr. McCracken has been in the private practice of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition since 1990. She is also an attending physician at the University of California San Francisco and is on the clinical faculty there. Her medical interests include disorders of glycosylation and other metabolic diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract, Inflammatory bowel disease, chronic liver disease, and healthcare policy.
 
She is married and has two children. Her hobbies including hiking, reading and music.
 

Anders Dahlstrom, M.D., Ph.D.
 
Dr. Dahlstrom received his M.D. from Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden in 1975. He finished his four-year Pediatric internship and residency at Danderys University Hospital at Karolinska Institute where he became board-certified in Pediatrics in 1983. He finished his two-year fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at UCLA, Los Angeles, California in 1986. He received his Ph.D. at Karolinska Institute in 1988 in Nutrition and metabolism. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Karolinska Institute since 1990 and at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, Stanford University since 1992. Since 2005, he is an adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Department of Pediatrics Stanford.
 
He has done research in many areas including total parenteral nutrition in children (UCLA), Helicobacter pylori infection in children (Karolinska Institute), immunotherapy in children with diarrheal diseases (Bangladesh), and growth factors effect on intestinal maturation and growth (Stanford). His current research and clinical interests are chronic abdominal pain in children related to EB virus infection, celiac disease, Helicobacter pylori infection in children, and gut-brain interaction in children with autism.
 
Dr. Dahlstrom joined Dr. McCracken in private practice in 1996. He has 2 grown children and is the proud father of a newborn baby girl. In his free time he enjoys traveling and outdoor activities like tennis, golf, hiking, and skiing, and he likes to relax with opera, music and reading.
 

Adel Abi-Hanna, M.D.
 
Dr. Abi-Hanna is a board-certified pediatrician and completed his general pediatric residency at State University of New York-Upstate in Syracuse. He continued at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland where he excelled in his fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology. Dr Abi-Hanna has a medical degree from the Lebanese University. Dr. Abi-Hanna joined the Pediatric Gastroenterology Associates group in 1999. He has been providing services to the San Joaquin Valley area since 2000 at an outpatient clinic at Sutter Community Hospital in Tracy, California. His medical interests include effect of probiotics, nutritional diseases and food allergy.
 
Dr. Abi-Hanna relocated to San Jose in 1999, with his wife Claire Del Signore, M.D. who is a pediatrician practicing in San Jose. In his free time, he likes to find new ways to have fun with his boys in the beautiful outdoors of California.
 

Laura Ohara , R.N. M.S., P.N.P.
 
Laura Ohara received her Masters degree in Nursing and her Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of California, San Francisco. She completed two programs of specialty in Pediatric Critical Care and Primary Care. Laura is Nationally Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist.
 
She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. She has been in Pediatrics for over 25 years with specialized experience in Pediatric Surgery and Plastic Surgery.
 
Laura joined Pediatric Gastroenterology Associates in 2003 and provides care to infants, children, and adolescents with gastrointestinal disorders. Some of her medical interests include feeding disorders, food allergies, and chronic abdominal pain. Laura also volunteers on surgical missions to third world countries providing medical/nursing care and education.
 
She is married and has a son and two step-daughters. Her hobbies include skiing, backpacking, scuba diving, crossword puzzles and home remodeling.
 

Maria Raspolic, Pediatric Dietician
 
Maria Raspolic, M.S., R.D. received a B.S. in Agricultural Science with emphasis on Enology (wine making) from University of Zagreb, Croatia. In 1995 she completed Masters in Nutritional Science at San Jose State University, and Dietetic Internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
 
She worked for several years as a Nutritionist in St Luke's Hospital in San Francisco and Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City in the area of adult nutrition.
 
Since 1999 she is working part-time as pediatric nutritionist at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in the area of pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, outpatient nutrition counseling for children with diabetes, obesity, lipid disorders as well as ketogenic diet program for children with seizures. Her professional interests include failure to thrive, food allergies, nutrition and developmental disorders.
 
She joined Pediatric Gastroenterology Associates in 2001.
 
She is married and has one daughter. In her free time she likes traveling, gardening and cross-country skiing.
